It is absolutely inspiring and beautiful that out of such disgusting oppression, we are on the way to true equal rights for those who have been discriminated against for the act of love. Love: the most primal and deeply moving emotion of all humans. How inhuman to try and suppress and belittle the most important human emotion of all. If the path we are on to equal and open gay rights stays strong and true, there will be no act for which I am more proud of my generation than fighting for the right to love. I hold pride in my heart knowing that together, people with fully understanding hearts, can come together to stand up for what is right. Over the course of our nations history, it has been scarred by the terrible and unforgettable atrocities of racism, discrimination, and inequality. However more important than the memories of those chapters of hatred, are the memories of the ones who rose out of that hatred, that united, as one people, and called for the equality of all men and women. Who stood to say that out of many, we are one. White, Black, Gay, or Lesbian. All men and all women hold indisputable worth, and hold love. No is no greater gift, privilege, or feeling than love. We call for love, and the right to love.
